You will be left speechless by the lush greenery of the island. Here, nature and culture unfold in each step the unique beauty of the place. A constant change of scenery awaiting to be discovered. The mountains of Lefkada are significant habitats of large populations of flora and fauna.

Lefkada/s greatest beauty lies in the endless coasts: shiny pebbles, golden sand, crystal clear deep blue water.

From the Vlycho bay to the Syvota bay, Vasiliki, the small Forkina bay, the unique bay of Aghios Nikitas, the lace-shaped beaches of Aspros Gialos, Aghiofili, Porto Katsiki, Egremni, Egialos in Dragano, Kathisma, Kalamitsi, Potisies, Pefkoulia, Kaminia, Kokkinos Vrahos, Aghios Giannis, Gyra and plenty more, the visitor will get the chance to discover the unique beauty of the island.

The shallow waters surrounding the town of Lefkada create lagoons and saltpans, which are important habitats of flora and fauna. The lagoon has entered the NATURA 2000. The region is a place that attracts migratory bird populations and is according to the RAMSAR CONVENTION – a habitat of international significance.

The green Prince Islands (Prinkiponisia) (Prinkiponisia: Skorpios, Skorpidi, Madouri, Thilia, Heloni, Sparti, Kithros) Meganisi, Kalamos and Kastos have a magic of their own: cliffs, steep coasts, golden beaches giving off the sweet scent of pine trees. There, you will experience the vastness of the sea, away from the hustle and bustle, stress and anxiety of the modern world.

Onassis/touch on SKORPIOS, turned it into an ornament of outstanding beauty, a symbol of legend. The desire to explore it, by simply cruising around the island, will make one feel the need to discover more about the myth surrounding the island. It/s not just the natural beauty of Skorpios, it/s also the legend, the myth and the history it bears.

The saltpans of Lefkada have been awarded by UNESCO and are registered by the Ministry of Culture in the list of industrial monuments worth visiting. Watermills, olive oil presses, the simplicity of the stone houses, churches and monasteries put the finishing touches on the picture.

Whichever route you choose to follow, you will have the opportunity to admire silver coloured olive trees, cypresses reaching to the sky, vineyards, fruit trees, oleanders, all shades of green constantly changing in a harmony within the landscape.

On the southeast side of the island, 660m above the sea level, at the top of an 8 km long peninsula lies cape Lefkata (also known as Kira Cape) showing towards the infinity. A rare scenery of beauty that fills the visitor with indescribable happiness.

Due to the beauty of its nature as well as its heritage, Lefkada has earned its own special place among the Ionian Islands. It combines simplicity and finesse. The mountains, the soil, the olive trees remind one of the poems of Pindarus.
On the one hand the vicinity to the mainland and on the other hand the deep blue of the Ionian Sea defines Lefkada as a part of two worlds bringing them together.
